Hi Everyone,
February 21st, 2015 is International Open Day.
Open Data Day is a gathering of citizens in cities around the world to
write applications, liberate data, create visualizations and publish
analyses using open public data to show support for and encourage
the adoption open data policies by the world's local, regional and national governments.
Different cities from all over the world take part in a Hackathons during Open Data Day. Some are all weekend, others are the one day.
I'm very interested in the Niagara Region being are a part of the this years International Open Data Day. Hackathons tend to draw mainly the developer crowd, but this type of event welcomes in anyone from the community to attend; whether you are a developer, designer, librarian, statistician, geographer or an engaged citizen.
I'd love to know if your interested in participating and also if you're willing to help organize the event.
View the Open Data Day website for complete information.
