We're aware that the DevTricks events are starting to run somewhat later than normal. We know that it's not easy carving time out of your week to attend these events, and we want to remain mindful of the commitment it takes to attend DevTricks in what is almost certainly your extremely busy life.
Going forward, we've decided that we'll be imposing presentation time limits and limiting questions during talks, to ensure that everybody is able to be in attendance for all 3 presentations in the evening, without having to leave prior to them completing.
We are limiting each presentation to a total of 30 minutes, including questions from the audience. Most presentations likely fall in the 15-20 minute range, leaving ample time for questions.
Unless prompted, we're asking that all attendees hold their questions and discussion until the question period after the talk, or at the end of the third presentation where there will be a chance to mingle with the speakers.
We're hoping this new format will allow people to see the presentations they want to see, not have to remain out much later than they are used to, and provide a chance to interact with the rest of the community following the event.
